Release date: September 3, 2024
We've heard from some of our enterprise users that they want the ability to restrict certain features (like dashboards and team wellness scores) for group-level users, given the hierarchy and structure of their organizations. Sometimes they may want to restrict certain activity by regions or practices, so only the most relevant boops, announcements and e-cards are shown.
Now, group-level users of Rally can customize their group user permissions!
We'll cover how these permissions work, changes to current group-level users, and how to update these anytime on your browser (note: this feature is not available in the Rally mobile app).
Group User Permissions: How it Works
After September 3, 2024, there are now three levels of group users, each with its own set of permissions: Group admin, Region admin, and Group user. All existing group users who joined Rally prior to this date will automatically become group admins.
No practice admins or standard users are affected by this update.
Group admin: Group admins can see group wellness dashboards, and individual wellness scores. Group admins can manage permissions and add any user type.
Region admin: Region admins can not see group wellness dashboards, and only individual wellness scores of practice admins and employees within their region. Region admins can not manage permissions or add group admins.
Group user: Group users can not see group wellness dashboards, and can not see individual wellness scores. Group users can not manage permissions or add group admins.

How to Update Group User Permissions
Log into Rally, and navigate to the team page from the left-hand menu bar.
From the team page, click on the Permissions tile at the top. Only group admins will have access to this tile.
On the Permissions page, find the user whose permissions you want to edit. Select the option under the "user type" dropdown menu: group admin, region admin, or group user. Refer to the permissions table above for full comparison of all user types and features. All updates will be automatically saved after selecting an option.
For region admins only: if the region admin option is selected for a user, you'll also need to select which practices the user can access. You can do this by selecting practice(s) in the "region" dropdown menu. All practices that you've previously added are available in this list.
