Note: We understand that last minute things may come up. Hound's cancelation policy strongly discourages any last minute cancelations within a week of the shift. If a worker repeatedly cancels booked shifts within three days of the start date, they may be banned from using our platform.
How to cancel a booked shift
Once logged in, click on the shifts icon from the left-hand menu bar, then click on bookings.
Find the booked shift under the "booked" section of your bookings page. From here, click on the shift card to open the shift details, then click the "cancel shift" button on the left-hand panel.
Click the "cancel shift" button on the confirmation popup to finalize the cancelation. The relief professional will be notified of your cancelation.
Shifts that you cancel are not eligible for any refunds from Hound, and may incur additional penalties from the relief professional (depending on your employment contract with them). We strongly suggest also reaching out to the relief professional to let them know why you need to cancel your shift.
What happens when a relief professional cancels on you
Hound strongly discourages last minute cancelations from either you or the relief professional; and will refund you the shift booking fee in cases when the relief professional cancels a shift. If you do not receive a refund within 5-10 business days, please contact us at hey@hound.com or via chat using the widget in the lower right corner.
