Can I post a job without a subscription?
Yes - you can post jobs on Hound without any subscription at the standard rate of $199/month per post. A subscription is not required to use Hound, but it does reduce your per-post cost and unlocks additional features like candidate search and boost discounts.
What's the difference between Candidate Network Access and Recruiter (legacy plans only)?
Candidate Network Access (previously called Recruiter Pro) includes access to everything on Hound, including unlimited job posts, boosted job discounts, candidate search, candidate messages and resume downloads.
Recruiter subscriptions and other legacy plans have similar features at rates that are no longer available.
The key differences between Candidate Network Access (previously Recruiter Pro) and Recruiter (legacy plans) are:
Job post cost: Candidate Network Access includes unlimited free posts; Recruiter charges $149/month per post.
Boost discount: Candidate Network Access gets 50% off all boosted jobs; Recruiter gets 25% off all boosted jobs.
Subscription Price: Candidate Network Access costs $200/month more, but pays for itself quickly if you're posting multiple jobs or boosting regularly.
What is a Legacy (grandfathered) plan?
Some early Hound customers are on Legacy plans such as Recruiter or earlier subscription rates. Legacy plans are no longer available to new subscribers — if you're on this plan, your pricing is locked in as long as you remain subscribed.
Note: If you cancel a Legacy plan, you cannot reinstate it at the same price. You would need to re-subscribe at current Candidate Network Access rates.
Are there partner or network discounts?
Hound works with certain veterinary networks and partner organizations on custom pricing. If your practice is part of a group like VMG, MWI or a Purina Collective partner, please reach out to our team to ask about available pricing for your network.
How do I upgrade or switch plans?
You can upgrade your subscription from within your Hound account. To downgrade or cancel, please contact our support team and we'll assist you.
