Job Posts & Subscriptions: What happens if my subscription changes or payment fails?

Understand how changes to your subscription — including cancelations, downgrades, and payment failures — affect your active job posts.

How your subscription affects your job posts

Your Hound subscription tier determines how much you pay (if anything) to post and renew jobs. If your subscription changes or a payment fails, your active job posts may be affected at their next renewal date.

What happens to my job posts when I cancel or downgrade my subscription?

Once your subscription is downgraded/canceled, you can still access your premium features (like chatting and searching candidates) until the date of your next renewal — there are no refunds for the remaining period. Your job posts themselves will stay active until you delete them. Here's what happens at their next renewal date:

Job posts with a subscription

Job posts without a subscription

Recruiter subscriptions

$149/month

$199/month at next renewal date

Recruiter Pro subscriptions

Free

$199/month at next renewal date

Legacy (grandfathered) subscriptions

Free

$199/month at next renewal date

Important: We recommend reviewing your active job posts before or shortly after any subscription change to avoid unexpected charges.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscription cancelations are processed by the Hound support team. To request a cancelation, please see How to downgrade your subscription from Hound Premium to Free.
