Everything you need to know about finding the best talent on Hound.

Key things to know about searching for candidates

  • Searching for candidates and sending messages are premium features included with a Hound Recruiter or Hound Recruiter Pro subscription.

  • You can search for all candidates on Hound, or search by relief workers. Use the filters on either page to refine your search.

  • On the Relief workers page, each candidate's profile card will be tagged by "open to relief" or "relief only", indicating their work preferences.

  • Any candidates you message or save can be found by using the engagement filter.

Go to the Candidates page to see all workers, or relief workers

1. Click Candidates from the top menu bar to see all visible candidates on Hound.

2. You'll automatically land on the All Workers tab. If you'd like to narrow your search to only those candidates interested in relief work, click on the Relief workers tab. You can use the filters on either tab, or start a new search.

Use the candidate search bar

3. You can also use the top search bar from any page to start a new candidate search.

4. Select the position(s) you're interested in seeing, the candidate's location, and type in any keywords. Click search to conduct a new candidate search.

Use the filters on the candidates page

5. On either the all workers or relief workers page, click the location filter to search by city, state or state only.

6. You'll see options to change the distance of your search. You can choose to search by the candidate's current location, or search by the candidate's preferred location. This will show you job seekers willing to relocate.

7. Use the other filters to narrow your search down further. When you click on Advanced, you'll be given more filters to narrow down your search.

'Open to relief' and 'Relief only' tags

8. Note that candidate profiles includes relief tags based on their work interest. Please be mindful when reaching out to candidates - for example, if you message a candidate who is interested in 'relief only' about full time associate positions, you may not get a response.

Messaging and saving candidate profiles

9. When you find a profile you like, you can click on it to open and learn more about this candidate's preferences and experience. You can choose to message them or save their profile for later.

11. Once you've used our search feature, you can use the engagement filter to find saved profiles and see candidates you've never interacted with.

Now that you've seen how to efficiently search for candidates using location, position, and engagement filters, take the next step by posting a job or upgrading to Hound Recruiter to unlock thousands of qualified candidates and streamline your hiring process.
